Bob Allen

Bob began his trading career at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange in June 1984. While performing various job functions on the floor, he received mentoring from some of Jack Schwager’s “Market Wizards”. These super traders helped teach Bob the concepts behind option market-making and risk management. With the backing of his mentor, Bob began market-making at the CBOE in February, 1989. For the next 15 years, Bob was the lead market-maker in whichever pit he traded. His primary pits that he traded in over this time frame were the Merck pit and the Coca-Cola pit. Bob also served as an instructor at the International Trading Institute, helping traders from around the world learn option trading.

Besides being our option trading guru, Bob is a high volume, independent, U.S. Treasury futures trader and member of the Chicago Board of Trade.

Joe DiNunno

Over the past 3 years, Joe DiNunno has made a habit of helping investment or trading related companies get off the ground, and OptionsVest.com is no exception, but we digress just to say, why not start one of your own?. Now that’s an Insightful Idea. While he has been trading options for the last 8 years, his passion for trading began in a commodity futures class at Santa Clara University taught by Professor Jim Niles (who also introduced Market Wizard Tom Baldwin to commodities). Recently, he has helped others learn option trading by making several presentations to beginning option traders in Atlanta.

So what else has he done? Well, let us start with the fact that Joe has 15 years of experience helping companies in the investment consulting industry use computers to improve financial decision-making and increase business efficiency.  He continues to work with FiduciaryVest using @Risk software to evaluate asset allocation risk for institutional investment portfolios.

For the past two years, Joe played a key role in helping an Atlanta based Global Macro Hedge Fund start the ball rolling by developing and automating asset class modeling, testing, and reporting procedures.

Prior to that, Joe helped launch FiduciaryVest in 2005 by streamlining processes used to analyze investment performance and conduct investment manager searches for defined benefit and defined contribution plans. In addition, he incorporated uncertainty in numerous financial models used to simulate investment returns and evaluate risk of various asset allocations in portfolios consisting of traditional and alternative investments and for some clients analyzing the impact of these asset allocations on long-term corporate or pension liabilities. During this time, Joe gained considerable experience with Simulation, Fundamental, Technical, and Options Analysis software. Earlier in his career, Joe provided these services to Investment Consulting groups at Clark Consulting, Arthur Andersen, and Watson Wyatt as clients of his own firm.

Before returning to Atlanta in 1991, Joe was a Futures Broker with the International Investment Center and a Graduate Research Assistant in Real Estate Finance at Santa Clara University. Joe holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
